Fort Memorial PET/CT scan services helps detect disease at earlier stages

Tuesday, September 17, 2013 - Beginning Friday, September 27th patients living in the Fort Atkinson area will no longer be required to travel out of the area to have an exam that helps doctors detect disease in its early stages and monitor the progress of patients’ treatment. The scanner, developed by GE Healthcare, combines two kinds of imaging to give doctors complete information about the patient’s condition in a single exam that usually takes less than one hour. Fort HealthCare named to Most Improved list in national IT survey

Friday, July 12, 2013 - Fort HealthCare has been named to the prestigious Most Improved list in Hospitals & Health Networks magazine's Most Wired Survey, in recognition of the accomplishments the healthcare provider has made towards implementing a comprehensive electronic medical record (EMR) system. The survey, conducted between January 15 and March 15, asked hospitals and health systems nationwide to answer questions regarding their information technology (IT) initiatives. Respondents completed 659 surveys, representing 1,713 hospitals, or roughly 30 percent of all U.S. hospitals. The number of hospitals and health systems designated as Most Wired increased to 289. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 - Each year, Fort HealthCare authorizes a comprehensive survey to assess the general public's individual healthcare status and health-related behaviors. Survey results guide the organization in identifying the need for new and improved services, addressing individual health conditions more effectively and in assessing the overall health of the communities it serves. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 - Fort HealthCare is holding the third annual Camp 911, a one-day program focusing on safety, prevention techniques and health and wellness for children entering fourth through sixth grades in the upcoming 2013-2014 school year. GERI Manikin donation made to Fort HealthCare Simulation Lab

Thursday, February 14, 2013 - The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program at Fort HealthCare began providing confidential services to sexual assault victims on Friday, February 8. Prior to that date, Jefferson County had no facility offering these services. Victims were referred to other hospitals, in more urban communities. Fort HealthCare Slimdown Challenge weigh-in begins February 4

Monday, January 28, 2013 - It’s been reported that nineteen percent of all New Year’s resolutions made are related to losing weight. If you are one of those nineteen percent or, if perhaps you’ve come to the conclusion that you need to lose weight after the time for resolutions had passed, then Fort HealthCare encourages you to join this year’s version of the successful Slimdown Challenge. The Fort HealthCare 2013 Slimdown Challenge, offered free of charge to all participants, begins on February 18 and continues for twelve weeks until May 13. Teams of four to six persons can join through a participating employer or through a community-based organization such as the Rock Lake Activity Center (Lake Mills), Working for Whitewater’s Wellness (W3), Slimdown Fort Atkinson and the Cambridge Activities Program (CAP).
